For Soul fans in Nairobi, a special Soul Party show is set to be held tonight at the Hornbill Sports Bar and Restaurant (Kaginas behind KFC) in Buruburu.

The weekly show will feature the best of Soul music by DJ Kareez. According to Kareez, he has lined up classics from the 1980s to 2000s. There will also be plenty of food and drinks. The show starts at 7 pm and runs until dawn.

The Carnivore Restaurant will on April 2 host The Florida Experience Madhouse and F2.. According to the organisers, it will be an opportunity to bring together the Madhouse & F2 families for a special reunion featuring music of the 90s and 2000 classics. Also expected will be legendary DJs, guest DJs, and a special midnight cabaret show . The Florida Night clubs were for many years popular with night club revelers in both Nairobi and Mombasa. Charges will beSh1500 (advance) and Sh2,000 (gate). The show starts at 7pm.

In Mombasa, it will be the Sisters Iftaar- Edition- Mombasa edition to be held tomorrow at Chop It Kizingo, The Ladies only event, which is part of breaking the fast during the Holy Month of Ramadhan will he held from 6pm to 7pm. There will be food and drinks. The cover charge is Sh500.

For rhumba fans in Nairobi, DJ Marto Sibuor tonight hosts the Rhumba Elengi at Starehe Bar in Huruma estate. Sibuor will be flanked by DJ Jazbah MVP.

Meanwhile, Sibuor hosts Rhumba Fridays at the Villa Park Lounge and Grill on Tom Mboya Street, Nairobi. On Tuesdays, he hosts Vasha Rhumba Tuesdays at the Leyian Grills ( next to NCBA Bank) in Naivasha town.

Meanwhile, tonight it will be Saturday Rhumba Fusion at the Villa Park Lounge, Nairobi CBD. The show will feature DJ Musa, who will be backed by DJ Jalloh and hosted by Don Tello.

There is more Rhumba action featuring Bilenge Musica International band led by Lesasa Jocker who perform on Sundays at the Pitstop Grill on Langata Road in Nairobi.

Elsewhere, arrangements are underway for an all-Girls/ladies Chess Tournament – dubbed Chess DADA to be held next Saturday at Kiota School on State house road in Nairobi. According to the event coordinator, Bindar Bernhard, its objective is targeting sisterhood and promoting chess to the sisters. Notably, the event will also coincide with International Women’s Day.

Elsewhere every Friday its Friday Rhumba with the Amitir Muisca Band at Eita Business Arcade, Bee Centre, Umoja Estate in Nairobi. Shows start at 7pm.

For Mugithi fans in Ol kalou , Nyandarua County lined up tonight is the Mugithi Experience Show at the Express Lounge, Ol Kalou. Music will be DJ Sonnie M. It will be hosted by: DJ Tony, DJ Voiceman and MC Kelele Master.

Show starts at 7pm until dawn.
