As we move into the festive season, various entertainment spots have organised shows across the country to keep revellers entertained throughout. To get things rolling will be the Sound of December – Liquideep Show at Ngong Race Course and Golf Park, Nairobi on Saturday.
Bensoul, Watendawili, Jukebox, Muthaka and DJ Tease are among those expected to perform at the show.

The group which was formed in Johannesburg became a household name with chart-topping hits like Something About You, Fairytale and Alone.
They have performed at some of the biggest music festivals across Africa and abroad. The event starts at 2pm.
Elsewhere the Back and Forth Old Scholl Party will be held next Saturday at Nairobi’s Carnivore Restaurant. The show will feature the best of music from the past with DJs Ken, Amor Thige, Nijo and MC Supafly.
The Summer Bunnies are also expected at the show. Dress code is denim and the entrance fees is Sh2.000, (advance) and Sh2,500 (gate). The show starts at 12pm.
Meanwhile, ‘The Singles Affair’ show will be held next Saturday at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi. The theme of the event will be “How to find true love in a generation of games.”
The event will be an exclusive relationship experience for intentional singles who are tired of games and confusion in modern dating. It will also bring together professionals and entrepreneurs. The event starts at 12pm and the entrance is Sh1,000 (regular) and Sh2,000 (VIP).
Tradewinds Hotel in Village Market will today (Saturday) host the ‘Where Dreams Gather’ show, a contemporary art group exhibition and charity event.
The show will feature an installation by Sharon Wendo and works by 12 emerging artists from East Africa. The entrance for the event that starts at 5pm is Sh3,500, which covers bitings and a complimentary drink.
Elsewhere, sensational dancer, singer and MC, Kanda Junior performs every Saturday at Club Platinum Nairobi next to Kenya Cinema. Every Friday he performs at Frank Inn BBQ at Kikuyu town, where he is backed by the Queen Dancers with music by DJs Sharp and DJ Gib Smasher.
Meanwhile, arrangement for the 2026 edition of Kitale Film Festival Week are at an advanced stage. The festival will be held at Deep Resort in February next year.
According to the founder, Peter Pages Bwire, the festival will feature award-winning features, documentaries, and a robust industry platform designed to cater for the next generation of African cinemas.
The festival will begin with the opening night gala on February 25, featuring Inside Job (2025) by acclaimed Kenyan director David ‘Tosh’ Gitonga. The stars in the film are comedic powerhouses, Mammito Eunice and Jacky Vike. There will also be a tribute to film industry trailblazer Anne Mungai.
