Media personality Betty Kyallo has announced that she is expecting a child with her boyfriend, Charlie.
In a heartfelt post on her social media platforms, the 36-year-old TV star shared photos from a maternity shoot featuring Charlie.
“We have been cooking something oh so sweet. God Is The Greatest,” Betty wrote on an Instagram post.
During her TV show last night, Betty addressed speculation surrounding her pregnancy, clarifying that it was not AI-generated after noticing comments from people doubting the news.
“It is not AI, guys,” she said as she proudly showcased her baby bump.
Her post has elicited mixed reactions, with most of her fans congratulating her.
Her sister Mercy Kyallo congratulated Betty, saying, “Finally, we can openly celebrate! So so happy for you both. That baby will come into a family with so much love, faith, and care. Thank you, God, for the beautiful blessing. We can’t wait for you, little one!”
According to close friends, Betty had deliberately kept her pregnancy private, choosing to share the news only when she felt ready to do so.
Content Creator Terence said they intentionally protected her during a business tour in China in September.
“Finally, we can release the videos we took in China,” he posted on Instagram.
The announcement comes after months of public affection and openness about her relationship with Charlie, whom she first introduced to her followers in mid-2023.
Betty has previously addressed public curiosity surrounding her love life, including conversations about age differences in relationships.
In a past interview, she humourously dismissed any concerns, saying age was not an issue for her.
“Even if my boyfriend was 21 years old, he is still an adult, but his age is not 21,” she said.
“That’s why we decided to give the elders some time to relax, you know, to take care of their own affairs.”
The mother of one has also been candid about her past marriage, with Dennis Okari, which ended shortly after it began.
Reflecting on the experience, Betty admitted she was shocked by how quickly it collapsed.
“I’m still trying to comprehend how it all happened. We were together for four years before getting married, but after just six months, everything fell apart. I can’t help but think there might be something wrong with that white dress,” she said.
She further shared her belief in an African superstition that excessive talk or boasting can invite bad luck, suggesting it may have contributed to the challenges in her marriage.
