Justice Oguttu Mboya of the Environment and Land Court in Meru has issued a third conservatory order to stop the Imenti Forest from being cleared to make way for a state lodge, golf course and airstrip.

This follows a petition filed by the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance and the Meru Forest Conservation Forum.

Justice Mboya also extended the conservatory orders issued on June 10 until June 30, when he will consider consolidation of the three petitions.
