Two Kenyan citizens living abroad have separately gone missing, causing fear and panic among their families and friends.

Isaac Kimeu, 39, and Nahashon Wanyoike  were reported missing in Jamaica and the United States respectively, in incidents that have left communities grasping for answers.

In Jamaica, authorities confirmed through an online communication that Mr Kimeu disappeared on Monday, March 16,2026. He was scheduled to depart the island from Norman Manley International Airport.

According to information released by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), he was last seen around midday, hours before his intended flight.

“Kimeu was expected to depart the island but did not board his flight. Efforts to trace him since then have been unsuccessful,” the JCF said in an online statement.

Authorities describe him as a man of dark complexion, medium build and approximately 170 centimetres tall, urging anyone with information to come forward.

“We are appealing to members of the public to assist in locating him,” Kingston Central Police said, providing contact lines including 876-922-8860, the 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.

Thousands of miles away in the United States, a separate but equally troubling disappearance has unsettled the Kenyan community in Washington State.

Nahashon Wanyoike, popularly known as “Kama”, vanished under unclear circumstances on Sunday morning. He had spoken to a friend while on his way to work at Alpha Supported Living in Shoreline, Washington - but never arrived. Since then, all communication with him has fallen silent.

“He had just visited his mother on March 11, 2026. For him to vanish without a trace is deeply troubling,” a relative said.

Authorities in Shoreline City have launched investigations, with officials urging anyone with information to contact the police or call 911 immediately, according to a statement shared by Kenyan Diaspora Media.

These twin disappearances have stirred unease across Kenyan communities abroad, prompting community leaders to call for heightened vigilance and personal safety among citizens living far from home.
