We need 26 million masks for learners, Magoha says

  • The masks, to be made by Rivatex East Africa, would be sold at Sh35 apiece. 
  • However, children from vulnerable backgrounds will get them for free.

Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha on Wednesday said the government would make 26 million face masks for learners ahead of the reopening of schools.

As the country gains ground in the Covid-19 pandemic fight, the ministry is putting in place measures to ensure the safety of the school community when learning resumes, he said.
