Kenya reports nearly 169,000 Covid cases, death toll of 3,087

In terms of vaccination, a total of 957,804 persons had taken the jab by Tuesday, among them 290,628 people aged 58 years and above, 164,369 health workers, 150,807 teachers and 80,979 security officers.
Kenya on Tuesday recorded 382 more Covid-19 infections from a sample of 3,719 tested in the last 24 hours.
This placed the positivity rate at 10.3 per cent, the number of confirmed cases since the first one last March at 168,925 and the tally of tests carried out since then at 1,787,093.
