Members of the committee have warned that continued defiance could see him suffer the same fate as his predecessor. Sources within the acting boss’s office, however, say he is reluctant to appear before the lawmakers because he still lacks “tea” for them. He reportedly fears that dipping into the organisation’s coffers before confirmation could jeopardise his chances of securing the job permanently. The lawmakers, however, insist that his confirmation depends on them and that he must appear before the committee without delay.

‘Blackmail’ woman gagged by court
She spent time with a man in a club and later in a room on the outskirts of Nairobi a few years ago. However, to the man’s shock, she went to the police the following morning claiming she had been raped, armed with a used condom as evidence. Before long, the man allegedly found himself entangled in an extortion racket involving police officers and a network of city women. The woman has since been posting about the matter on social media, prompting the man to seek legal redress.
