A senior party leader was essentially "abducted" mid-air when his pilot ignored flight plans to deliver him to a high-stakes, mystery meeting in a leafy Nairobi suburb.
Flown to unintended meeting
A senior party official was shocked after he was forced to go to a different location other than his home following a long day of political activities. The helicopter pilot told the leader to his face that he was under firm instruction to first take him to a house in Nairobi’s Gigiri for a meeting before flying the politician home later. The meeting which had many prominent people was convened by a senior government official within the leafy suburbs of the city but the agenda was not clear. Even though the party official, who enjoys State largesse, was alarmed, he had no choice but to accept he had been outwitted by the group that wanted to meet him.

Legislator acquires a secret house
A youthful married legislator from the Nyanza region has acquired a new house in an upmarket estate in Kisumu, which he uses for his clandestine activities. The house located in a suburb area of the county offers protection and privacy to the lawmaker whose love for damsels is well known within the corridors of parliament. Colluding with a powerful but controversial county official, who is eyeing an elective seat, the legislator got the house that he frequently visits with different women every weekend. Frustrated governor seeks solace
A frustrated county chief has resorted to taking illegal substances to mask his fears and frustrations. The man, who is facing a tall order in retaining his seat, is said to be smoking illegal hard substances at an alarming rate, something that now worries even the family. His handlers are also worried that their boss is losing it due to the habit. The man has also blocked most of the people who were close to him and is now a lone ranger. A colleague within the Council of Governors told our mole that the troubled the man can still of retain his seat if he focuses on service delivery, aligns himself politically and stops abusing substances.
Eating life with a big spoon
A lawmaker shocked his villagers when he turned up with a big machine — the latest model in the market — to launch a project in an area with mud-walled houses. Due to the poor roads to access the village, the sensitive luxury vehicle struggled to get to the venue. Villagers quickly came in numbers to see the vehicle and also meet their representative. Some were, however, taken aback by his casual clothes meant to accentuate parts of his body. The lawmaker who has of late become one of the biggest choirmasters of the broad-based government seems to be eating life with a big spoon as his friends say he has acquired a number of fuel guzzlers.
Minister’s thirst for power rejected
The quest by a Cabinet Secretary who has been secretly planning to weaken a popular political party has been rejected by MPs from his region, who have termed him selfish and with no ambition or financial muscle. The CS has, together with another senior State Officer, been plotting to ensure that MPs from their region stage a mass walkout from their party and form another outfit for the purpose of negotiation with the President ahead of 2027. The meeting last Tuesday, according to our little bird, ended in disarray after the lawmakers told the CS he has no vision for the community and only wants to use them for his selfish gains.
Collapsed buildings haunt the officer
A senior officer in a strategically important county is said to be in shock after a scheme meant to bring down a colleague spectacularly backfired. The official had quietly moved to fix his colleague by discreetly filing a case in court and swearing an affidavit linking him to a corruption scandal involving the approval of questionable buildings. But in a dramatic twist, the spotlight has now swung back to the accuser. Sources informed Talk of Town that investigative agencies, while reviewing the matter, unearthed findings at the office of the senior officer. The man is now expected in court as early as next week.
