No moving with 'executive' furniture!
Police stationed at the offices of a ministry stopped a senior official who had been reassigned from moving his 'executive' furniture. The senior official, who had come to hand over and receive clearance, even wanted to take his coffee machine and water dispenser with him to his new office. He had reportedly arrived in a lorry, ready to transport all his belongings. However, the police categorically told him that he could not take the furniture with him. Feeling embarrassed, he left, but vowed to return for them. He also instructed his handlers not to arrange any media coverage at his new station, claiming that journalists had portrayed him negatively.

Powerful clerk at it again
Just who is protecting a clerk and an assistant to one of the powerful watchdog committees in Parliament? Despite earlier concerns raised by members of the committee about the conduct of the clerk, nothing has changed, and another victim has been forced to part with Sh2 million to get a favourable report on audit queries. The official was threatened with a damning audit report and sanctions over alleged incompetence and had no choice but to secure an emergency loan to bribe the clerk. She was warned that failure to give the bribe would ruin her career if a negative report is tabled in the House. The money was delivered at an uptown restaurant.

Official furious over cheating
A senior official is a man under siege after learning that his wife cheated with a powerful political figure in government. The embattled man learnt that the powerful figure had strayed into his territory and is now in a dilemma on whether to confront him or not. According to our bird, the woman has recently had her security curiously scaled, perhaps to match her new stature. The official, who has never settled in this administration, is now in a dilemma on whether to resign ‘for personal reason’ and pursue other political interests outside the government or stay on until 2027.

Too busy to interact with MPs
Still in the corridors of the Executive, just where was a Cabinet Secretary rushing to after the conclusion of the reading of the budget highlights on Thursday? Upon conclusion of the budget speech, there was a reception party organised by National Treasury at parliament gardens which is normally meant for catching up between various invited guests of the executive and the lawmakers. However, a Cabinet Secretary quickly moved into his car and sped off, leaving his colleagues and MPs shocked as to why he cannot interact with others just like colleagues were doing. A group of MPs were heard whispering during the reception party that they will soon teach the CS a lesson as he is proving to be very elusive nowadays.

Leaders shock residents with helicopter
Residents of a region that hosted one of the major events were shocked when their leaders arrived by chartered flight on the day of the event and left immediately after the ceremony. The matter was so serious that some of the leaders arrived after the guest of honour had already checked in. Residents are left wondering how the region will develop if its own leaders are not proud of it and do not even want to spend the night there. As 2027 draws closer, residents have vowed to replace the current leaders with people who are proud of their background, so that the current leaders can continue to live in their posh Nairobi homes.

Senator’s many guests
A senator is the talk of her colleagues due to the number of visitors she hosts in parliament every day. She hosts a large number of delegations, mainly from the grassroots, at various times throughout the day. While Parliament has capped the number of visitors a legislator can host at any given time, the Senator has been breaching this security rule by hosting delegations from her village from morning until evening. Some of her colleagues have been heard to say that she could just go to her rural home and meet everyone there once and for all.
