According to our little bird in the precincts of Parliament, the husband of the female lawmaker is furiously hunting down the male MP whom he accuses of rocking his marriage. The male lawmaker has now been forced to upscale his security just in case his lover’s husband catches up with him.
Governor unhappy with campaign slogan
A county chief in Western Kenya is reportedly unhappy with the campaign slogan of his opponent, which is gaining momentum on the ground. So popular is the slogan that many users on social media are talking about it and sharing short clips made by the governors’ competitor, a move that is giving the county chief sleepless nights. The slogan is resonating so well with the people and the governor is worried that if allowed to continue untamed, he will not have a comeback chance in 2027. His strategists are now plotting a truce with the vocal competitor of their boss in order to slow down the early 2027 campaigns.
Panic as top county officer summoned
Traders of a county in Western region are happy after a senior official, who they accuse of harassing them over the years, was summoned by the anti-corruption detectives over various allegations. So happy are the traders that they pray that the detectives will have a solid case against the feared official, leading to his suspension. The man’s conduct and background have previously been questioned but he has always brushed aside any concern and has always enjoyed the county chief’s full confidence. Those that have been close to the official have now panicked with their source of livelihood threatened.
Domineering CS angers voters
A minister who was ‘donated” as an ‘expert’ to join the Cabinet has angered voters on how he is handling a candidate that is seeking to take over a parliamentary seat. According to our mole, the man has already given the candidate staff and even bodyguards who will serve him upon election in the forthcoming mini-polls. The Cabinet Secretary decides everything for the party candidate, including his campaign schedule. The voters are now wondering whether the prospective MP, if he wins, will be serving the CS or the people and if they will even access him without the blessings of the big man.
Official shortchanged last minute
Was there a change in the master of ceremonies in a recent event held by a political party? Well, our source whispered to the Talk of Town that an outspoken leader was kicked out at the last minute, in the programme, and replaced by another official. The initial plan was to have the outspoken leader guide the event but due to the guests that were expected, an abrupt decision had to be taken and he was replaced. Party insiders say they have no space for radicals who are only loud in specific regions but go missing when the party is visiting other parts of the country.
‘Young Turk’ apologises over attacks
An overzealous young man, who joined a leading political formation, had to ask for forgiveness from a senior official who ignored him and never bothered to engage in his attention-seeking antics. The man, who had been all over social media and a handful of media stations seeking attention, was reportedly doing the bidding for another top party honcho who is not happy with the dissenting voices in the party. Keen to endear himself to win a position ahead of the 2027 elections, it is still not known to what extent the new party entrant will go about pleasing those instructing him to attack others behind the curtain.
