What is it with the several deaths that have occurred every time a politician visits a popular neighbourhood in a strategic city? Many residents are now worried that when the man lands in the area, a person “must die” either in an accident, sickness or under mysterious circumstances. There is a widespread belief in the area that the lawmaker is a bad omen, with a majority of families saying they do not want to see him around. According to our informer, there is an active scheme by locals to stop the big man from visiting the area.

A senator from the West, eyeing a higher post, has stirred laughter and fury after compiling a “charity inventory” – a list of those he has helped, from colleagues, clergy, boda bodas to children. In the glossy file, complete with photos and captions, are his “achievements”. Instead of earning him applause, the man now faces criticism for the publicity circus. Some riders say they can’t even enjoy their motorbikes without being filmed for the senator’s next video. Some churches have protested discrimination, with one receiving as much as Sh500,000 while another got Sh10,000.

An MP who reportedly transported youths to cause havoc in Parliament following the death of ODM leader Raila Odinga may find himself in trouble. An intelligence report shared to parliamentary leadership has placed the lawmaker at the centre of everything that happened that day. Despite the change of plan that saw the public viewing of Odinga’s body shifted to Kasarani, the youths refused to leave Parliament for unknown reasons. It has now been established that there was a lawmaker behind the plan, seeking some political mileage.
