The lawmaker, who is convinced that he will not clinch the ticket of his current party, is said to be warming up to the idea of taking up the seat in order to shore up his chance of clinching the county seat and boosting his clout. So desperate is the rival outfit that it is ready to offer him the Deputy Party Leader position as part of the bargain in the hope he will also come with his mobilisation skills. Governor relieved as video is hidden
A county chief who recently engaged in a physical confrontation with his rival eyeing the seat in 2027 is a relieved man after the main part of the video was not released to the public by the media team that was present at the event. The governor’s opponents have been emboldened that with the death of the veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga, there will be no endorsement in 2027 hence defeating the county chief will be easy. The rising tensions have now caught the attention of the security apparatus in the region who are plotting to make sweeping changes to all officers across all the ranks ahead of the 2027 General Election.
