  • Gor Mahia’s Ghanaian midfielder Enock Morrison said they have no choice other than to make their fans proud.
  • “Everyone one to start and the energy of every player is very high in training. We have been really waiting for this match and I know we are going to win,” said Morrison.

Gor Mahia coach Sinisa Mihic has rallied the club fans aka “Green Army” to fill Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday promising them a big win against arch rivals AFC Leopards in their FKF Premier League first leg match.

The highly anticipated 'Mashemeji' derby was postponed twice because of lack of a suitable venue.

It will be the first derby for the Croat who was appointed in that role on February 3. It will also be the first derby for AFC Leopards coach Fred Ambani who was appointed to the hot seat on December.

The two teams will clash again the Sunday after in the second leg.

“Against AFC Leopards, everything is going according to the plan. Everything is ready,” Mihic said..

“We have the opportunity to take three points, and will approach every game as professionally and seriously as possible from every aspect. This is a must win for us, we have no choice,” he added.

K’Ogalo have been undergoing intense training at their Mpesa Academy ground base in Thika and it is no surprise that  Mihic gave his players an off yesterday.

In the five matches he has overseen, the Croatian coach has won three while two have ended in draws though K’Ogalo have not shown their usual sharpness.

Gor Mahia’s Ghanaian midfielder Enock Morrison said they have no choice other than to make their fans proud.

“Everyone one to start and the energy of every player is very high in training. We have been really waiting for this match and I know we are going to win,” said Morrison.
