APS Bomet FC chairman Fred Akama has praised his team for their recent outstanding performance, saying they are steadily gelling and adapting to the demands of the SportPesa League.

Akama's remarks followed the club’s stunning 4–1 victory over league leaders Gor Mahia at Nyayo National Stadium on Tuesday — a result that thrilled supporters and lifted the team’s morale.

Akama said the win was a strong indication that Bomet players are beginning to understand each other better on the pitch.

“This victory was earned through hard work and unity. Our players are coming together as a unit, and they are showing belief in the system. It’s clear that teamwork, discipline, and consistency are starting to shape the character of this team.” Akama told Nation Sports.

He added that the club’s main focus remains building long-term stability in the top flight.

“Our immediate aim is to consolidate our place in the Premier League. If we maintain this momentum, I believe we can surprise many teams this season,” he said.

Akama's words were echoed by club CEO Rose Chemutai.

“We respected Gor Mahia, but we didn’t fear them. We planned well, stayed disciplined, and executed everything according to the game plan,” Chemutai said.

“The chemistry is improving every week. They win showed we can achieve if we stay united,” she added.

APS Bomet’s sharp passing, quick transitions, and solid defensive work frustrated Gor Mahia throughout the encounter, earning them one of their most memorable victories in topflight football.

With confidence growing and performance levels rising, supporters believe APS Bomet is on the path to becoming one of the season’s most competitive and exciting sides.

The law enforcers lie 17th on the table in the 18-team competition with eight points. They have won two matches, drawn two and lost five.
