A record 104 matches that will be played at the World Cup will offer a treasure trove of tactics for coaches to study.
Fifa has set up a Technical Study Group under the guidance of former Arsenal coach and Fifa Chief of Global Football Development Arsène Wenger to look deeply into the matches played and share their insights.
The group is led by Fifa Senior Football Expert Pascal Zuberbühler, and the members are Otto Addo from Ghana, Tobin Heath from USA, Jürgen Klinsmann (Germany), Jayne Ludlow (Wales), Michael O’Neill (Northern Ireland), Gilberto Silva (Brazil), Jon Dahl Tomasson (Denmark), Paulo Wanchope (Costa Rica), Aron Winter (Netherlands) and Pablo Zabaleta (Argentina).

With more than 1,800 courts, basketball is the soul of New York
New York/New Jersey area may be home to Major League Soccer clubs New York City FC and New York Bulls, Major League Baseball teams New York Yankees and New York Nets, and NFL outfit New York Jets, but basketball seems to be “the soul of the city” as one TV commentator said.
The region has two teams in the NBA - New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. The city literally came to a standstill on Thursday as new NBA champions New York Knicks held a victory parade. Thousands of people woke up as early as 3am to line up on the streets for their heroes.
The parade also featured Knicks stars of yesteryear like Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley and John Starks. Not surprisingly, there are more than 1,800 basketball courts in New York.

Baffling signage directs motorists ‘to report aggressive driving’
The signage on the extensive New York and New Jersey roads are clear and prominent. This is a first world country after all. Motorists are met with road signs reading “Exit Only”, “Turn Left”, U-turn Ahead”, “Tracks-Buses Keep Right”, “Ramp 15 Miles”, Speed Limite 65” and so on.
You cannot fail to notice the signs, and you are well guided in the intricate mesh of the road network. But one sign that says “Report Aggressive Driving” stood out for yours truly.
So what exactly is aggressive driving, and who decides what aggressive driving is? And is there a charge for “aggressive driving” in the laws of the land? Only in America, I suppose. Kenyan Matatu drivers would not survive here.
