  • "Kamau used to follow my progress since I was a young boy playing for Kayole Youth and has been with me throughout the journey. He brought me to Posta Rangers and up to date still follows up on my progress," he revealed.

Posta Rangers midfielder Jackson Dwang is confident of breaking into the first 11 ahead of the new Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season.

Dwang,18, was sparingly used by the Mail Men last season, but is now eager to become a regular player.

"It is a great honor to be in the team and I always give my best whenever given the opportunity. There are other great and experienced players in the team and I have learned a lot from them,"  Dwang told Nation Sport.

"I am now eager to cement my position in the team when the new season starts. I have been working hard as an individual and I know it will pay off. Posta Rangers have been very supportive and I want to repay them by doing well in the upcoming season," he added.

Dwang joined Posta Rangers from Nzoia Sugar in 2019. He is grateful to Nzoia Sugar for giving him the chance to make his debut in the KPL. He was among the nominees for the Young Player of the Season in 2019

"I went to Nzoia for trials and the entire team including the fans embraced me as one of their own. I was at home from the onset and was very happy when they signed me," he said.

"I enjoyed my time there. They made my transition from amateur football to professional football easy and even when Posta Rangers came knocking, they released me without any issues. I will always be grateful for the chance they gave me," added the former Kayole Youth midfielder.

He also credits former Posta Rangers coach John Kamau for his rise so far.

"Kamau used to follow my progress since I was a young boy playing for Kayole Youth and has been with me throughout the journey. He brought me to Posta Rangers and up to date still follows up on my progress," he revealed.

Dwang comes from a sporting family with his elder brother Mulla Bakata featuring as a forward for rugby side Impala Saracens.
