KCB and Nondescripts have made key signings in the recently concluded Kenya Cup mid-season transfer window. The competition resumes tomorrow.
The two clubs have signed 11 players each to help reinforce their charge for the Kenya Cup title, which has been won by Kabras Sugar for four consecutive years.
The sugar millers have signed 14 players, mostly youngsters, as they look for continuity amidst their overwhelming dominance.

KCB have acquired Kenya Harlequin backrow and skipper, Sheldon Kahi, and centre Richel Wangila, together with Richard Liva from Impala, Michael Odhiambo from Daystar University Falcons, and former Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (Mmust) player Churchill Otieno Oyugi.
KCB coach Andrew Amonde, who is four months into his new role, reckoned that the second phase is what will tell if his new philosophy is working as he starts to engage tough opponents.
“We are done with perhaps easy opponents and the real challenge starts now, where we test our systems with the top guns,” said Amonde.
He said he can’t wait to face other big guns in Kenya Cup -- champions Kabras Sugar, Menengai Oilers, Kenya Harlequin, and Nondescripts.
“Kahl and Wangila and the other signings form part of my strategy to reclaim both the Kenya Cup and Enterprise Cup this season,” said Amonde.
KCB will however miss the services of former captain Griffin Musila, who has proceeded for studies, and Brian Munyali, who is recovering from injuries sustained in a car crash.
KCB will be away to two-time former Kenya Cup champions, Nakuru, at the Athletics Club on Saturday.
Nondescripts have lured former Strathmore University Leos skipper Barnabas Owuor, former Kenya Sevens star Lamec Ambetsa from Kabras Sugar, and former Kenya Under-20 captain John Baraka from Kisumu RFC.

Former Quins players Charlton Mokua, Frank Aduda, and Bill Abuom have all moved to Nondies.
They will come up against their former employers in a Kenya Cup fixture at RFUEA ground on Saturday.
Quins have signed 23 players to fill the void left by 18 players, who exited the Ngong Road-based club in September last year following a pay dispute.
Kabras Sugar‘s only notable signings are backrow Lewis Ochieng from Kisumu, Calistus Wanjala from Impala, and Nick Tom Opiyo from Walukuba, Uganda.
“We are trying to work on transition so that we are not caught off guard when our senior players hang their boots,” said Kabras Sugar team manager Wilson Omondi. “Most of our signings are young players drawn from the region.”
Kabras Sugar will cross over to Kisumu for a date with Kisumu, who will be chasing their first win against the champions tomorrow.
South Coast Pirates player Brighton Omondi has joined Quins alongside Alvin Mutachi from Kabras and Rolf Smith OUma from Impala.
Andrew Matoka has returned to Strathmore Leos, while Dan Angwech has crossed over from Kabras to Kisumu.
Kabras Sugar, Menengai Oilers, and KCB are the only sides yet to lose after three rounds of matches. In fact, the trio have won all their matches with bonus points to top the table on 15 points each.
However, Kabras have a better aggregate, followed by Oilers and then KCB.
