Failed • Some 50 per cent of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam candidates scored Grade D, with a significant number getting the total fail Grade E, says Richard Kihara. “Why spend four years paying school fees and end up with zero examination results. It’s a shame. This doesn’t happen in the developed world where we aspire to be.” His contact is [email protected].

Unsafe • The fatal collapse of a building in Nairobi South C, Job Otieno hopes, will make the National Construction Authority and other responsible agencies cast their eyes on yet another one coming up between Rabuor market and Kisumu City. Says he: “It should be inspected to confirm safety before another deadly catastrophe befalls the country.” His contact is [email protected].

Ignored • Kenya Power has been rather unfair to David Waireri, who, on October 20, last year, entered the wrong meter number as he bought tokens for Sh1,500. On realising this, he called and was advised to fill in a reallocation form. He did and sent it by WhatsApp. He’s still waiting to date. His correct meter number is 14140975716 and the wrong one, 14140579716. ([email protected])

Disappointed • By failing to screen live the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament in Morocco, KBC terribly let down Kenyans, says Nicholas Murithi. “In August last year, Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya jointly hosted a very successful Chan competition, which KBC aired live for the East African soccer fans. So, why the Afcon Morocco blackout?” His contact is [email protected].

Curious • The perennial question of what’s in a name has been stirred in Godfrey Gikonyo by the just-ended Afcon showcase. Says he: “The Lions of Teranga (Senegal) defeated The Lions of the Atlas (Morocco) in the final. The Super Eagles of Nigeria took bronze. The Indomitable Lions of Cameron reached the last 16. Our Harambee Stars should become the Man Eaters of Tsavo.” ([email protected].

Have an inspiring day, won’t you!
