Motorists stranded for hours on Narok-Maai Mahiu highway

  • Following the accident, members of the local community staged a protest and barricaded the highway with logs, rocks and bonfires.
  • The locals were demanding to be compensated for the dead animals.

Hundreds of motorists were on Friday night stranded for hours in Ntulele, Narok East after a lorry knocked down a flock of sheep.

The driver of the lorry rammed into the herd on the busy Narok-Maai Mahiu highway, killing several of them.
