Book on artistic entrepreneurship out
Author Mwenda wa Thuranira.
A new book showcasing strong foundations for personal and business growth has just been released.
Titled, Taking a Space, it was launched Friday evening at the Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi.
It sets the stage for an artistic look at both up-and-coming artists and entrepreneurs.
Speaking to the Saturday Nation earlier this week, the author, Mwenda Thuranira, said he was elated to have released the book, which traces his personal life and career.
“I believe through this book, many will be able to understand how I forged my lifestyle and how it has been an inspiration to others," he said.
Besides being in real estate, Mwenda has been involved in other activities such as event management.
In the book, he traces his journey to becoming a leading light in real estate through establishing Myspace Properties.
Mwenda details the struggles in launching a real estate company in a competitive market.
“Taking up space is not just about real estate but about making a mark in every sphere of life. I encourage readers to embrace opportunities, cultivate the right mindset, and push beyond limitations, “ he says.
A chapter in the book also explains the importance of strong foundations in business and personal growth.
He covers his early years, growing up in Isiolo and Meru counties, and how his grandfather’s business influenced his entrepreneurial spirit.
He also discusses the role of education, discipline, and mentorship in shaping a visionary mindset.
Readers are encouraged to invest in their personal development, as success begins with self-mastery.
Mwenda also highlights the significance of family support and how strong relationships provide stability in an unpredictable business world.
He shares personal anecdotes of challenges and triumphs, emphasizing the role of family values in shaping character. This chapter offers insights on balancing ambition with personal responsibilities, ensuring that success is holistic rather than one-dimensional.
He explains how branding, market research, and customer relations played a crucial role in boosting his business.
Entrepreneurs will learn valuable lessons on identifying market gaps and offering unique value propositions.
Mwenda breaks down daily routines, productivity, and mindset shifts that have contributed to his achievements.
