Femi One to headline ‘Back to Hip Hop’ show

What you need to know:

  • Johnny Junior will perform on Sunday during the ‘Rhumba Revolution’ Show at the Gold Creek on Quickmart Waiyaki Shopping Centre in Nairobi.
  • The Ngong Racecourse and Golf Park in Nairobi will host the International Cowboys and Cowgirls Day-Kenyan edition next Saturday.

The Ballpoint Social Club at the Village Market, Gigiri will next Saturday host the Back to Hip Hop Show- July edition.

The main performances will feature rapper Femi One and DJ Nruff. Some of Femi One’s most popular songs include Sema, Hepi and Adonai. The entrance fee will be Sh2,000 (advance) and Sh2,500 (gate). The show starts at 6pm.

Meanwhile, the venue will on Saturday hosts the Junior Chess Workshop. The event starts at 10am and ends at 1pm.

For Rhumba fans in Nairobi, Johnny Junior and his BV Band will perform on Sunday during the ‘Rhumba Revolution’ Show at the Gold Creek on Quickmart Waiyaki Shopping Centre in Nairobi. The show starts at 2pm. Entry is Sh1,000.

International Cowboys and Cowgirls Day

On August 2, Johnny Junior and his band will perform at the Azuri Inn Resort at Ugunja in Siaya County. The show will mark the first anniversary of the entertainment spot.

Elsewhere, the Ngong Racecourse and Golf Park in Nairobi will host the International Cowboys and Cowgirls Day-Kenyan edition next Saturday. The show will feature Sir Elvis, Kenya’s iconic country music ambassador. This will be the inaugural International Cowboys Day celebration in Kenya.

Meanwhile, the T-Points Gardens at Kitengela will on August 2 host the Rhumba Experience- Ankara Edition. Music will be by Dragon and the Golden Band. There will also be music by DJs Collo Ace, Queen B, Kyra, Jazbah. Entrance fee is Sh1,500 (advance) and Sh2,000 (gate). The show begins at 11am.

At the same time, a special festival to mark the 40th anniversary of the UN World Conference on Women is being held jointly at the Alliance Francaise and Goethe Institute in Nairobi. It is due to conclude next Friday.
