Shows lined up for Easter weekend

As revellers prepare for Easter weekend, most entertainment spots have lined up activities across the country to mark the holiday.
At the coast, popular rhumba musician Ricky Mulolo and his Idologia International Band will perform tonight and next Saturday at the September VIP at Mtwapa (behind the Yacht Club) in Kilifi County.
Every Friday, Ricky and his group perform at the Club Golden Gate at Mtwapa. On Wednesdays, they perform at the Blue Marlin Restaurant, Fomtela in Mombasa.
In Nairobi, the Ulinzi Sports Complex at Langata will today host the fifth edition of the Club Kiboko Family Fun Day. The show will start at 8am and ends at 6pm.
At the Braeburn Theatre on Gitanga Road in Nairobi today it will be the Byss Easter Edition. The show will start at 6pm and end at 10pm. Entrance is 3.500 (advance).
For fans of Mugithi and Urban music the Park and Chill Dam at Ruiru will on Easter Sunday host the Mugithi meets Urban show. It will feature performances by Tonny Young, Eston wa Keyboard. DJ Mayfield, DJ Alfie, Kuoneka Cymo, Monie K, MC Curtize DJ Bluee among others. There will be plenty of Nyama Choma and drinks. The show starts at 12pm until dawn.
Elsewhere it will be Easter at the Bellanie Farm at the Link Road Sigona on April 26. There will be Giant games, crafts, and the epic Easter egg hunt among other activities. The event will start at 10am.
For disco fans in Nairobi, the Carnivore Restaurant will next Thursday (Good Friday eve) host the L- Boogie 10th edition. The show, to be hosted by DJ Adrian, will start at 6pm. Entrance is Sh2,500 (advance).
Every Thursday DJ Marto Sibuor hosts Rhumba Afro Thursday at the Tamasha Sports and Grill in Eldoret.
On May 3, DJ Marto is set to entertain rhumba fans at the Esidai Lounge and Restaurant off the Webuye- Kakamega highway in Kakamega County.

Kisumu-based benga musician Linet Aluoch Pamba.
In Homa Bay, Benga star Linet Aluoch Pamba and her Karapul Jazz band will perform today at the Goono Konyuka Resort.
They will perform also from Easter Friday to Sunday at the same spot. Linet is known for some of her songs like ‘Baba Ziro’, ‘Bad Manners’ and ‘Anthony Ogutu’.
Next month she will lead her group in marking the 19th anniversary of the death of her mentor, the legendary DO Misiani. Notably, Misiani, who died in a road accident in Kisumu, was the band leader of the D0 7 Shirati Jazz.
Elsewhere the Mombasa-based Amitie Musica band - Les Incomparables band under the leadership of Crispen Tambwe will perform on Good Friday and every Friday at the Tudor Paradise in Mombasa.
