Ruto nominates Amani Yuda Komora as NPSC chair

President William Ruto has nominated Dr Amani Yuda Komora as the new chairperson of the National Police Service Commission. 

In a notice Monday, the president also nominated Angeline Yiamiton Siparo as a Commissioner.

If their nominations are approved, the two will join four other members of the body that oversees the human resource functions of the National Police Service. Other members are Edwin Cheluget, Peris Muthoni Kimani, Benjamin Juma Imai, and Prof Collete Suda.

Mr Komora previously served at the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) as Vice Chairperson. Before that, he has served as General Manager of Human Resources at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), as well as other roled at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and National General Wages Council.

Ms Siparo has previously served as chairperson of the National Aids Control Council, as well as other roles in the humanitarian sector.
