Fraud suspect wants to erase his past
A wealthy serial fraud suspect has embarked on an aggressive push to delete all published records of his alleged criminal activities from news and official websites. Our mole says the well-connected man has deployed a carrot-and-stick strategy to systematically scrub off the unpalatable information, offering enticing amounts of money in some instances while resorting to a variety of threats for the stubborn ones. It is not clear what his endgame is, but there is speculation that he is either trying to hide his past from potential foreign victims or has decided to change his ways.
Minister reads riot act to bullish PS
A senior Cabinet Secretary is furious with the conduct of his Principal Secretary, who has been unilaterally running State departments without any consultations or briefings.
The minister, previously a quiet man, was provoked to the extent of writing a lengthy memo to the PS, demanding to know why he had been excluded from crucial decisions.
The outspoken PS is yet to reply, amid fears that the CS may fix him. Our bird says the PS has been transferring senior officials without briefing the boss, with the cold war culminating recently when the PS declined to accompany the CS to Parliament to answer questions concerning his docket.
Witnesses want to expose corrupt MP
A lawmaker serving in a powerful committee is under close watch by a number of witnesses. Mheshimiwa has reportedly been calling the witnesses, who were due to appear before the committee, soliciting up to Sh2 million from each in exchange for a favourable report.
The witnesses are said to have messages the MP has been sending them. They also possess recordings of him asking for money.
The MP, who had been rejected in another committee, has also been promising the witnesses that he would connect them to Social Health Authority to secure multi-billion shilling tender.
School rejects big man’s children
Our mole has learnt that the children of a man who was hounded out of office some time ago over corruption-related issues were rejected by their classmates. The learners reportedly told the teachers categorically that they could not share a class with the man’s children. The matter was escalated to the parents of the class - who include an MP and a popular lawyer - but their intervention was unsuccessful, as the pupils insisted they would not allow the children into their class. The situation ultimately forced the prominent man to relocate his two children to another school.

A government agency has been rendered toothless after receiving instructions from above to turn a blind eye to a mega project that is flouting regulations.
Son of top leader behaving badly
The young man, who recently made headlines for falling foul of the authorities, was spotted at a club in Nairobi’s Lavington area, enjoying himself in the company of six beauties. The party went on until late into the night, but after having one too many, the young man began vomiting all over the floor, turning the venue into an eyesore. Even more aggravating, the young man, who became violent, showed no remorse towards the management of the establishment, who had to clean up his mess in the early hours of the morning.
