Five of the six FKF Premier League players who were feted for their excellence at the tournament’s gala on June 4 have all moved to new clubs.
They are Most Valuable Player Enock Morrison, Golden Boot winner Joseph Waithira, Golden Gloves winner Stephen Ochieng, Best Defender Jimmy Owili and Best Young Player Humphrey Aroko.
Only Mara Sugar’s Drona Openda, who won the Most Disciplined Player award, has not changed clubs.
Morrison, who was also crowned the Midfielder of the Season with Gor Mahia, joined Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh Sporting Club last month on a three-year contract.

The dreadlocked 22-year-old joined K’Ogalo in June 2024 on a two-year contract after becoming a free agent. He was instrumental in Gor’s triumph last season, featuring in 31 matches, in which he earned an impressive 15 Man of the Match awards.
Morrison also made it to the Team of the Week several times and was nominated FKF-PL Player of the Month three times.
“I leave with great memories, including winning the league together, and I will forever cherish those moments,” said the Ghanaian in his farewell speech.
Waithira had an outstanding season with Muranga Seals. In addition to earning the Golden Boot with an unbeatable 19 goals, the 30-year-old was also named the Players’ Player of the Season.

Waithira signed a two-year contract with South Sudanese side, Jamus Sporting Club on June 13.
The late blooming striker made his debut for the 2025 South Sudan Premier League champions in a friendly match against Rwanda’s Rayon Sport in Kigali on Saturday. Jamus lost 4-3.
Waithira will get a chance to prove his worth to Jamus in the Cecafa Kagame Cup, which kicks off on Friday.
In a previous interview with Nation Sport, the striker attributed his success with Murang’a Seal last season to hard work and adapting to change.
Goalkeeper Ochieng, who claimed 16 clean sheets with Shabana, has joined Tanzania Premier League side Pamba Jiji Football Club.
Tanzanian sports paper Mwanaspoti reported that Ochieng signed a two-year-contract with the club.

On his Facebook page, Ochieng bid farewell to Shabana, stating: “Through the highs and lows, against the waves and tides, we stood together as one family and weathered every storm. To the entire Shabana FC fraternity, thank you for the love and unwavering support you gave me.”
Aroko, 18, had a splendid season with Kariobangi and it is no surprise he attracted interest beyond Kenya’s borders. Danish side FC Copenhagen have acquired his services, though he will be sent out on a year’s loan to Swedish second-tier side FC Rosengard.
Despite Sharks’ struggles last season, Aroko was a shining star, top scoring for the club with 13 goals that put him third on that much vaunted top scorers’ list.

Mara Sugar’s Jimmy Owili was named the Defender of the Season.
KCB unveiled Defender of the Season Owili as their new player on July 11. Owili was a key figure in Mara Sugar’s backline that registered 14 clean sheets. He spiced up his performance with three goals and nine assists.
