Economic boom for businesses as Tartan Army drinks local pubs dry
For beer manufacturers and sellers, having Scotland fans visit your area is sure to boost your business. Reports indicate that several outlets ran out of beer when the Tartan Army – the travelling supporters of the Scotland team – stormed Boston for the Group C opening match against Haiti.
It seems the Tartan Army does not joke around when it comes to their favourite tipple. Local reports suggest that some pub owners in South Beach, Miami, have ordered extra beer ahead of their arrival. Scotland are facing Brazil in a must-win match today at the Miami Stadium.

Affordable housing in New Jersey makes sense as it isn’t tax- driven
Under Kenya’s affordable housing scheme, citizens pay a housing levy, which is used to build houses on government land. The houses are then sold to ordinary people at near-market rates.
In New Jersey, affordable housing is very different. The State builds houses without taxing its citizens. The houses are then rented out to ordinary people.
How much you pay in rent depends on your income. If your income is low, the government will cover a larger percentage of your rent than if you were earning more. For example, a junior clerk working for the council would pay much less than a senior manager for the same property. This makes sense.
