Samidoh, Kiambati Sam among artists lined up for weekend events

Popular mugithi musician Samidoh is set to entertain his fans tonight at the New Pelikan Village on Kiambu Road on the outskirts of Nairobi.
Notably, Samidoh (Samuel Muchoki Ndirangu) is known for some of his popular songs like Murata wa Ngai’, Wendo Wi Cama’, Tuhii Twitu’ among others.
Most of the songs have been popular on radio and in terms of club play. The show will start at 5pm.

Elsewhere, the Jambo Grill on Thika Road (opposite Garden City) will tomorrow host a special show to mark musician Kiambati Sam’s 25 years in music.
During the show, there will also be a launch ceremony for two new songs by Kiamnato.
Others expected at the show will be Tonny Young, Waithaka wa Jane, Salim Young, Kuruga wa Wanjiku, Mike Rua, Joy wa Macharia, Mike Murimi, Samidoh, Wanjiku wa Waya and Sam wa Kiambo, among others.

For fans of RNB and Soul classic music in Sagana and its environs, there is a special show set to be held on June 27 at the Guvnor’s Garden Sagana on the Nairobi- Nyeri highway.
The show, dubbed “RNB Old Skul Sagana Show” will feature Sanaipei Tande, comedian Dr Ofweneke, Cavi, DJ Biann and SW.
The visiting renowned Japanese musician Eriko Mukoyama, popularly known as Anyango Nyar Siaya, is expected to perform next Thursday at the Alliance Francaise in Nairobi and then on Saturday at Geco Café, also in Nairobi.
The show will start at 7pm. Her final concert will be at the Dunga Hill Camp in the lakeside city of Kisumu on June 27. Entry is free at all the venues.
Notably, the tour will also be celebrating the first anniversary of her English-language autobiography ‘Anyango Nyar Siaya’ (Nyatiti Queen).

Elsewhere, the Ngong Race Course and Golf Park will tomorrow host the Etica Capital St Leger The After Party.
It will be the final Classic race day of the season to feature horse racing, the best of Nairobi fashion, a wide selection of food and beverages alongside a curated pop-up market. Dress code is smart casual. Entry is Sh500 (advance) and Sh800 ( gate). Show starts at 12pm..
At the Ballpoint Social Club, lined up next Friday is the Ballpoint Karaoke Night. It will feature a special performance by Nessa alongside By DJ Hassan from 7pm. Entry is free.

In another development, the Osona Yarn Festival will be held today at the Nairobi Arboretum. It will be a day to showcase fashion, music, business, creativity, yam tasting and yam culture.
Rhumba party uptown edition at Vibanda Village
For rhumba fans in Nairobi the Rhumba Party Uptown edition will be held next Saturday at the Vibanda Village in Upper Hill. Revellers will be entertained by DJ Numz alongside DJ Simbi and Sherrif The Entertainer. It will be an evening of the best of rhumba from the 1970s to date. Entrance is Sh350 (advance), Sh500 (gate) and Sh1500 ( VIP).
