Even before getting their first pay, two lawmakers who were recently sworn-in following their victory at the November 27, 2025 by-elections, have rejected overtures from a female MP to join a “partying club”. Our little bird in the corridors of Parliament whispered to Talk of Town that the notorious lawmaker, who is known for partying and excessive drinking, attempted to lure the two new MPs to her “party class” but the waheshimiwa could hear none of it, saying they wanted to focus on making a mark ahead of the General Election in 2027.

Trouble in paradise over state moles

Senior officials of a major party have threatened to name colleagues being used by the government to cause turmoil ahead of the 2027 General Election. The officials want to make the list public early enough in order to prevent what they term as internal sabotage. They claim that those planted are also in their perceived strongholds with the sole aim of destabilising important processes, particularly during party primaries. Rise of former MCA rattles leaders

A group of politicians from Western Kenya has raised concerns over the profiling of a former nominated MCA, who has state resources at his disposal. This has raised suspicions that he is being used to advance the ruling coalition’s agenda in the region. The leaders question the sudden resources and state networks that risk weakening the dominant party there. They believe the state is behind the MCA in order to sponsor more political actors ahead of 2027.

The minister, who has been blowing hot and cold over commitment to his former political party, found himself in a tight spot as the women demanded money, accusing him of avoiding them yet they have been his staunch supporters.

Stalled wedding plans

The spouse of a top politician has scuttled plans for a wedding by a family member, insisting things have to be done her way. The woman, who poses as humble in the public domain but is a no-nonsense behind the curtains, told the family member to cancel the venues that had been booked, catering serving providers and even the event organisers, saying she must be the one to handle the responsibilities. Shocked by the turn of events, the family member reached out to the father but was stunned when the man referred all the concerns to the mother again.

Facility desperate for positive image

Managers of a highly-placed transport installation have hired a top PR company to help manage what they consider as negative publicity after reports of maladministration and tender wars emerged in the press. The facility has been facing challenges and gaps in leadership as board members have literally taken over the daily operations and fight over multibillion-shillings tenders. Experts in the industry say standards could be lowered if the internal disputes are not addressed. So desperate are the managers of the facility to spruce up the image that they are willing to pay huge amounts to the consulting firm.
