Sonko, Jamal come to the rescue of ex-Olympian Bilali

Jamal and his team, had earlier on checked on Conjestina, who is recovering at Nairobi West Hospital where she was admitted last Friday
Bilali, who represented Kenya at the 2000 Sidney, 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympics, said he slumped into depression in 2012 when he suffered memory loss after being knocked down by a vehicle several times during his morning training session
Bilali thanked Sonko and Jamal for coming to his rescue and vowed to change upon rehabilitation
Days after rescuing former boxer Conjestina “Hands of Stone” Achieng', Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and former boxer Anthony "Jamal" Otieno on Tuesday moved to also save former Olympian Suleiman Bilali.
Bilali, who represented Kenya thrice at the Summer Olympics, has been struggling with alcoholism since his dismissal from the Kenya Police Service in 2012 for deserting duty. He has been living in abject poverty in Muthurwa, Nairobi since then.
