The highly-anticipated clash will take place at the 48,000-seater Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) Kasarani from 5pm. The fan zones are aimed at catering for the ticket-less fans.
According to a statement released on Thursday by Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya, the number of fan zones in Nairobi have been increased from 10 to 13.
In Nairobi, the fan zones will be at Uhuru Park, Jacaranda Grounds, DCC Grounds - Kibera, Safari Rally Grounds/Lucky Summer - Kasarani, at Dandora Stadium, and at Utalii College Sports Grounds. Others will be established at Pandi-Pieri Grounds - Githurai, Nairobi CBD (Archives), Clay City Grounds - Githurai, Baba Dogo Play Ground, Ruiru Stadium, Dagoretti - BP Grounds, and at Camp Toyoyo in Nairobi’s Eastlands.
CS Mvurya assured Kenyans who will be catching the action at the fan zones of their security.
“We want to assure Kenyans that security has been heightened at Kasarani and in all fan zones. Adequate deployment has been made, and we urge everyone to cooperate with security agencies so that tomorrow’s match is safe, free of incidents, and enjoyable for all,” said the CS. Other fan zones have also been set up at Kisumu and Mombasa cities.
On Thursday, Kisumu County government set up two fan zones in the city, complete with giant digital screens at the KCB and Kisumu Boys High School roundabouts to enable fans to follow the action live from Kasarani.
County Executive Committee Member for Sports, Culture, Gender and Youth Affairs, Beatrice Odongo, said the initiative is meant to create “a stadium away from the stadium” for fans who are unable to travel to Nairobi to watch the match live.

“Fans who did not manage to travel to Nairobi can watch the game live on our digital screens. We want Kisumu to feel the same energy as Kasarani,” she said, adding that the move is designed to strengthen community spirit through sport.
Security teams have been deployed to ensure safety at the venues, while motorists planning to use roads leading to Kisumu City’s Central Business District have been advised to take alternative routes.
Vehicle traffic bound for Busia Road will be diverted through Kachok flyover en route to Kondele to ease traffic around the fan parks.
