The tragic shooting death of Dr Victoria Mutiso, a clinical psychologist who was gunned down after hailing a taxi in Upper Hill, Nairobi, may be linked to a million-shilling property fight involving a woman.
On Thursday morning, police announced that they have identified a woman and her son as main suspects in the shooting death of Dr Mutiso.
The July 29th incident happened on Mbagathi Link Road.
The suspect and her son have links to a close relation of Dr Mutiso, a source told the Nation.
Sources have revealed that the suspect had been battling with Dr Mutiso's kin over property estimated to be worth millions, but lost the case and was subsequently evicted.
Not the first time

Police also revealed that it was not the first time Dr Mutiso's life had been threatened; she had filed a report on the same at Kilimani Police Station in July this year.
She alleged that armed men on a motorcycle ambushed her in traffic and pointed a gun at her.
In the second attempt on her life, Dr Mutiso was on her morning commute to work on Wednesday morning when a black Prado reportedly blocked the taxi she was in and a man armed with a gun approached the left rear seat where she was seated. He then shot her and took off.
DCI’s Director of Liaison and Corporate Affairs John Marete says that homicide detectives are actively combing through the crime scene, where forensic exhibits were collected and witnesses were interviewed. He, however, declined to comment on the identities of the suspects.
Dr Mutiso was the head of research at Africa Mental Health Research and Training Foundation until her death.
