Ngotho garnered 35,440 votes against his main competitor, Samuel Muchina (UDA), who managed a paltry 5,460 votes.
Ngotho and the late Kiarahao both hailed from Karau Ward, with their homes just a few metres apart.
Ngotho was former DP Rigathi Gachagua’s a protocol officer and political adviser.
Mr Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru Ngotho, the MP-elect for Ol Kalou, was former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua’s a protocol officer and political adviser before he and hundreds of his colleagues were sent home following the impeachment of the former in October 2024.
Mr Ngotho, who is set to succeed Mr David Kiarahao once he is sworn in, bagged the seat after garnering 35,440 votes against his main competitor, Samuel Muchina Nyagah of President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA), who managed a paltry 5,460 votes.
